Cherry Hill is one of Camden County's largest communities and offers an extensive mix of residential neighborhoods, shopping districts, restaurants, office centers, and recreation. The township stretches across a sizable portion of western Camden County and includes housing and development representing many different periods of South Jersey's suburban growth.

Cherry Hill Mall is one of the township's best-known regional destinations, while Routes 38 and 70 contain additional shopping, dining, and services. Cooper River Park is nearby, and Route 295 provides connections throughout South Jersey. Several routes also lead directly toward Philadelphia, making Cherry Hill closely connected with both the city and surrounding Camden County communities.
