Darby is a historic Delaware County borough located immediately southwest of Philadelphia along Darby Creek. One of the region’s older communities, the borough features compact residential blocks, traditional rowhomes and twins, local businesses, and architecture reflecting several periods of development in the Philadelphia suburbs.

Main Street and MacDade Boulevard connect Darby with surrounding communities, while SEPTA trolley, bus, and regional rail services provide transportation toward Philadelphia and other parts of Delaware County. Nearby destinations include John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge and communities such as Collingdale, Sharon Hill, and Upper Darby. The borough’s location also provides relatively direct access to I-95 and Philadelphia International Airport.
