Eastwick occupies the southwestern edge of Philadelphia near Philadelphia International Airport and the Delaware County border. Unlike many denser sections of the city, the neighborhood includes areas of lower-density residential development, larger roadways, wetlands, and open land shaped by its location near the Delaware and Schuylkill river systems.

The John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum is one of the area’s defining features, preserving extensive wetlands and offering trails, wildlife viewing, and environmental education. SEPTA Regional Rail serves Eastwick, while I-95 provides connections toward Center City, Delaware County, and Wilmington. The airport and nearby employment areas also play a significant role in the surrounding landscape.
