Glassboro is a Gloucester County borough that combines established residential neighborhoods, a traditional downtown, newer development, and the growing presence of Rowan University. The university has played a significant role in recent redevelopment, particularly around Rowan Boulevard and the areas connecting the campus with downtown Glassboro.

Restaurants, shops, apartments, and entertainment options are concentrated around Rowan Boulevard and Delsea Drive. Routes 55 and 322 provide connections toward Philadelphia, the Jersey Shore, and other parts of South Jersey. Glassboro also has a notable place in diplomatic history as the site of the 1967 Glassboro Summit between U.S. President Lyndon Johnson and Soviet Premier Alexei Kosygin.
