Grays Ferry is a South Philadelphia neighborhood located along the Schuylkill River southwest of Center City. The area includes traditional rowhome blocks, industrial properties, commercial corridors, and newer development reflecting its long relationship with the river and Philadelphia’s industrial history.

Grays Ferry Avenue is a major route through the neighborhood, connecting it toward South Philadelphia and Center City. The Schuylkill River Trail has expanded into the surrounding area, including connections toward Bartram’s Garden and Southwest Philadelphia. University City and major employment and institutional centers across the river are also nearby.
