Holmesburg is a Northeast Philadelphia neighborhood situated near the Delaware River and Pennypack Creek. The community has roots dating back to early Philadelphia-area settlement and today contains established residential streets, commercial corridors, and a variety of housing typical of Northeast Philadelphia.

Frankford Avenue is one of the neighborhood’s major commercial and transportation routes, while Pennypack Park provides extensive trails, wooded areas, and recreation along the creek. SEPTA Regional Rail service is available at Holmesburg Junction, and nearby I-95 connects the area with Center City, Bucks County, and destinations along the Delaware River corridor.
