Lower Merion Township stretches along Philadelphia’s western border through a large portion of the Main Line. It includes numerous distinct communities, each with its own residential areas and commercial centers, and features architecture ranging from historic stone homes and traditional Main Line properties to apartments and newer development.

Lancaster Avenue and Montgomery Avenue connect many of the township’s communities, while SEPTA Regional Rail and trolley service provide multiple routes toward Philadelphia. The township includes extensive parks and recreation facilities and is close to destinations throughout the Main Line, Bala Cynwyd, Ardmore, Bryn Mawr, and the Schuylkill River corridor.
