Mantua is a West Philadelphia neighborhood located immediately north of University City. Traditional rowhomes, residential blocks, institutional properties, community spaces, and newer development make up the neighborhood, which has long-standing connections to the surrounding university and cultural districts.

Lancaster Avenue and Spring Garden Street provide transportation and commercial connections, while SEPTA trolley and bus routes link Mantua with Center City and other parts of West Philadelphia. Drexel University, the Philadelphia Zoo, Fairmount Park, and the museums and institutions of University City are all nearby.
