North Wales is a compact Montgomery County borough in the North Penn region, surrounded largely by Upper Gwynedd Township. Its center includes historic homes, established residential streets, local businesses, restaurants, and community institutions within a traditional borough layout.

North Wales Station provides SEPTA Regional Rail service toward Philadelphia and Doylestown. Nearby Routes 202 and 309 provide access to Montgomeryville, Lansdale, and other communities throughout northern Montgomery County. Larger shopping centers and employment areas are located just outside the borough, while parks and recreation facilities serve the surrounding region.
