Springfield Township is a Delaware County community located west of Philadelphia between Upper Darby, Media, and Swarthmore. Established residential neighborhoods make up much of the township, with housing representing several generations of suburban development alongside shopping, parks, schools, and local businesses.

Baltimore Pike is the township’s major commercial corridor and provides access toward Media and Philadelphia. SEPTA trolley service connects portions of Springfield with the 69th Street Transportation Center, while nearby I-476 provides regional highway access. Smedley Park and other local recreation areas add green space throughout the community.
