West Goshen Township surrounds much of West Chester Borough and combines residential neighborhoods, commercial corridors, office and employment centers, parks, and recreation facilities. Its central Chester County location provides access to both downtown West Chester and major regional transportation routes.

Routes 202 and 3 are important corridors through the township, connecting the area with King of Prussia, Delaware County, and Wilmington. West Goshen Community Park and other recreation areas provide trails, athletic facilities, and open space. Shopping and dining in West Chester, Exton, and nearby communities are all within convenient reach.
